The Millau Viaduct Rest Area : a site not to be missed

This rest area can be accessed from the A75 motorway in both directions, or from Millau via the D911 and the Boulevard du Viaduc roads.
It provides several services, as well as an unforgettable viewing point over the Viaduct.
It’s just the place for taking a break from driving that is both practical and pleasant, thanks to a souvenir shop, an exhibition of Aveyron savoir-faire and a summer-season Gourmet Food Bar.

How was this giant built? What is it made of? With 15 years of experience, who better than the Compagnie Eiffage du Viaduc de Millau to show you around this structure? Since 2017, CEVM is bringing together all its know-how so as to welcome you in a completely refitted area.

New makeover for Viaduct Exhibition

You are in for a surprise with the dynamic and interactive museum displays. The Viaduct world will be showcased in 220m² of technology and images.
Welcome to an exhibition space that is free of charge and open all year round :

  • 1st April - 5th July : 9am - 6pm
  • 6th July - 1st September: 9am - 7pm
  • 2nd September - 30th September: 9am - 6pm
  • 1st October - 3rd November: 10am - 6pm
  • 4th November - 31th March: 9am - 5pm (except the 1st of January and the 25th of December)

Access: From the A75 motorway (both directions) or from outside, via the Boulevard du Viaduc (a 10-minute drive from Millau town centre).

The new guided tour

Finding out more about the multi record-breaking Viaduct is easy – just follow the Eiffage guide and enjoy this unique experience, getting as close to the structure as you possibly can!

Go for a walk along the Explorers’ Path, a former construction site track that is now lined with full-scale models. Find out how the translator mechanism works (an Eiffage Group technological innovation), and access the new belvedere for a panoramic viewing point just beneath the deck.
