Lorry driver - "The toll is quickly recouped"

"With the Millau Viaduct, the Perpignan-Paris line will only take nine hours. Do you realise that? A driver can do the journey in just one day's work. The other routes all take longer, which means that, according to the legislation, we have to take eight hours' rest during the trip… or you need a second driver. What's more, the same round trip on the A75 every week means annual savings of thousands of euros compared to the A6-A7-A9 route. And that's just in toll fees. It's quite a lot! The toll price on the viaduct will be easily recouped in savings of time, fuel and wear and tear of the equipment."

Coach driver - "An opening to the South of France"

"A large number of the trips we organise go towards the South of France and Spain. For us, the A75 is the holiday motorway. With the viaduct, we easily save half an hour on our journey time. The toll fees are in no way a deterrent given the savings and the advantages we have: on days when traffic is congested, the crossing between Aguessac and La Cavalerie was very problematic. But in addition to the reduction in journey time, the viaduct in itself is a real tourist attraction. It makes Millau a destination in its own right."
